This 54-hole; stroke-play event is a continuation of the Brentwood 54-Hole Blowout that was not played last year because its founder; Robert Lowrey; died.
Amateurs will be flighted by handicaps; and there will also be a professional flight.
Amateurs; with the exception of those in the championship flight; will be allowed to discard their high round and use their best 36-hole total as their final scores.

Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown Museum blows a replica oil well gusher. Re-enactors in period attire perform to original music.
The gusher blows to more than 160 feet to commemorate the discovery of the Lucas Gusher. The Lucas Gusher oil well blew on January 10, 1901 and marked the beginning of the Spindletop oil boom.
The gusher re-enactment lasts about ten minutes. Wear a swimming suit and bring a towel.

Admission: The camp is free and open to students up to grade 12 who play violin; viola; cello or bass. Snacks and lunch are provided.
All participants can take part in various ensembles; the orchestra and private instruction under with faculty instructors; including conductor.
In addition to rehearsals; music readings; music theory and performance; other activities include miniature golf; bowling and more.
The final concert will be at 4 p.m. 8/5 in Rothwell Recital Hall at Lamar University
