Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the food and music. Foods such as barbecue; boudain; hot dogs; pork kabobs; funnel cakes; cotton candy; popcorn; snow cones; and ice cream will be available along with cool beverages. Food and drink will be available in all areas of the park.
Festivities begin at 5 p.m. with "Jazz Innovators." The Symphony of Southeast Texas will perform a program. During the "The Star Spangled Banner" the 80th Flying Training Wing of Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls will perform a flyover with two AT-38B aircraft.
The evening concludes with a fireworks display accompanied by patriotic music.

Event features a 20-minute firewoarks display overlooking the Fulf of Mexico.
The fireworks show will start at 9:15 p.m.
The show can be seen as far east as 14th Street and Seawall Boulevard, and as far west as 103rd Street and Seawall Boulevard. To accommodate pedestrian traffic on Seawall Boulevard, the city will halt parking on that street at 5 p.m. and begin rerouting cars off the boulevard at approximately 6 to 7 p.m.
In case of rain, the fireworks display will take place the next evening, Tuesday, July 5 at 9:15 p.m..
