Admission: Attendance is limited. Entry fee for the festival is $15 for students, $20 for others.
Event features high school, college and professional filmmakers participating in an annual film and video competition. Cash prizes given to the best high school film and college film entries.
Opening party , workshops and screenings at 8:30 a.m. April 16 at Lamar’s University Theatre, with evening screenings at 7 p.m. Saturday in the theatre. Sunday screenings are scheduled from 12:30 - 5 p.m. at Tinseltown.

Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation freed the slaves January 1, 1863.
Unfortunately, Texas slaves were still hard at work in the fields over two years later when Major General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston to spread the news.
